I prayed for you today,
as Always Allah must have heard.
It wasn't what I usually pray
I didn't pray for your heart to claim
Though in believing it, I dared
I didn't wish you money or fame,
I knew you wouldn't mind.
I asked Allah to send you a gift
Of a far more lasting kind.
I asked that He'd look after you
At the start of each new day,
To grant you wisdow and blessings
And friends to share your way.
I asked for happiness for you
In every moment in your life,
be it great or small
But it was for His love and care
I prayed the most of all...
to you, my dear,
may you always stay near,
may your trouble be less,
may your blessings be more,
and nothing but happiness
come through your door.
